If you haven't seen this movie yet, rent it, buy it, steal it...do whatever you have to do to see it. Everything in this movie was great.
It still needs some work, but it's getting there.

This is yet another exercise from the Richard Williams book.

Here are some animations from Traditional Animation 2. The first and the last one are straight from Richard William's book and the second one is a personal exercise.

Sorry for the 3 month absense. I moved to San Francisco after the spring semester so that I could take coursework on campus at the Academy. The weather is so much nicer here, but damn -- what the freak is up with all the hills?? Anyway, I took storyboarding with Dalton Grant over the summer and I will post some of the storyboards I worked as soon as I can. I also plan on posting most of the sketchwork I complete in the figure drawing workshops this semester. I have some from the summer workshops so I will try to get them online first.
Well, fall semester is just around the corner! My course workload consist of Preproduction, Acting For Animators, and Traditional Animation 2. I'm definitely looking forward to it, although I know in some way or another its going to kick my ass.
In the meantime, I will enjoy the Florida Gators kicking some ass this year in the SEC...Go Gators!
Sorry, here are some more stuff, I forgot to post:

A Side View

I finally found a place that will host my animation for FREE -- "Free is better." Thanks Animation Corner! Unfortunately, I can only link to them so you will have to leave my blog for a few seconds. Anyway check them out when you get uno momento and leave cruel comments for me to read.

Okay, I did some tinkering to the look and feel of the blog. But don't get too attached though, I might start hating it in two weeks or so. I also added some more links to the side there. They include artists whose work I really enjoy. I''l be adding a lot more as I find them. I think I may add a section of artists that have influenced me as well.
The picture below was a sketch I did for Samanella:
Here are some figure drawings. My instructor was David Mar, a former Disney artist and great teacher.
I took this course my first semester (Fall 05) with Warren Chang. He is another amazing artist and instructor at AAU.
This blog was created so that I could post my work as I progress through my master's curriculum for traditional animation. I won't be commenting much on my life outside of animation, but its not like I have that much of a life outside of it to begin with :-)
Just FYI, I am studying at the Academy of Art, which is located in San Francisco, but I'm currently just doing some online courses while I'm still in Florida. I'm working as a Graphic Artist for eLearning company to pay the bills and the tuition, but hopefuly I will have enough balls to quit this job later this month and move out to Cali to finish my degree.
Well, I hope whoever reads this blog enjoys seeing my progression to a profession animator. It should be interesting. Please feel free to comment on any my work or just make suggestions. I should be updating this site regularly with work from the courses I'm taking, drawings from my sketchbook, and any freelance opportunities I may get. Take care.
